The driver of the Hyundai, Douglas R. Clark fled the scene of the accident but police found him and arrested him at the 1800 block of Cameron Street soon after the accident.  Police have charged Clark with two counts of DUI, fleeing the scene of an accident, failing to stop and render aid at the scene of an accident and driving in the wrong lane.  Clark remains in Dauphin County Prison with a $250,000 bail.

The victim of the accident was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of thigh and head injuries.  Police have not released the identity of the victim or his condition.

Accoriding to police, a man driving a Honda Civic was speeding in the northbound lanes of the boulevard at around 10 P.M..  The driver lost control of his vehicle around a curve and collided with a Saturn Outlook SUV traveling in the southbound lanes.  The Honda spun when it lost control and its rear-end struck the SUV head-on.

The driver of the Honda was in critical condition at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill after the accident.  The driver of the SUV, 67-year old Joseph Bartosh, and his wife, 67-year old Annette Bartosh, were also taken to St. Luke’s for injuries.

Police reports indicate that the accident occurred on Wednesday at around 12:15 P.M..  Bilski was turning out of the lower level of her apartment complex, Vulcan Village, when a Slusarczyk Landscaping and Excavating dump truck struck her vehicle.  According to witnesses, after colliding, the truck caught fire and Bilski’s vehicle was left crushed underneath the truck.

Paramedics flew Bilski to Mon Valley Hospital where she later passed away as a result of the injuries she incurred in this tragic accident.

Investigators are looking into what caused the three vehicles to collide and one of the trucks to catch fire.  Two of the drivers had to be taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital to be treated for burn injuries.  One of the truck drivers, 52-year old Mario Chacon of Palmer Township, was killed in the accident.

Traffic on the highway was closed for eight hours.

Philadelphia police reported that the accident happened at the intersection of 33rd Street and Girard Avenue and caused one vehicle to flip over.  The child was ejected from the vehicle that flipped in the accident.  Officials are unsure of what caused the accident.

Emergency officials arrived on scene quickly and transported the child to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in serious condition.  A 60-year old woman was also taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries and was listed as being in stable condition.

Peters, who lives in one of the apartments above his restaurant, said he was awoken by the accident to see a cloud of dust and the bus partially inside his restaurant.  All apartment residents were evacuated from the building and fortunately, none were injured.

The two drivers involved in the accident were transported to Jefferson Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
