Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a two-vehicle Pennsylvania car accident that killed two 18 year-olds and injured a third person on Monday in Jefferson Township, near Waynesburg, Greene County.

The collision occurred shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Eaton Run Road near the intersection of Route 21, according to troopers at the Waynesburg barracks. According to officials with the Pennsylvania State Police, Bethanie Orwig and Holly Lowry, both of Nemacolin, died at the crash scene. Another victim, identified as Shelvia Lough, was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Lough’s boyfriend, Chris West, said the 29 year-old will require surgery. “They said she was stable, but I didn’t know the extent of the injuries because all I know is her car was demolished,” West said.
