Posted on February 9th, 2010 No Comments

An elderly woman was killed in a Saturday afternoon car accident on the A404 just south of Penn Street.

According to police, the 73-year-old driver’s green Honda Jazz was traveling towards Amersham when it veered off of the road and rolled onto its side in a ditch near the junction for Penn Street. The driver, a resident of Holmer Green, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Relatives of the deceased have been informed but the name of the motorist has not been released. The road remains closed while police continue to investigate the accident.

Police are seeking witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or observed the green Honda prior to the crash.
