Two teens are dead and one injured following a Wednesday morning crash on West Kings Highway
Chester County First Assistant District Attorney Patrick Carmody called the accidents “tragic.”
Thee West Caln teenagers were involved in a two vehicle collision shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. West Caln Township Police Chief Curt A. Martinez says that 18 year-old Zachary Joseph McGehrin was traveling east on West Kings Highway in a Pontiac Sunfire when he crossed the center lane and collided head on with a sanitation truck. Two passengers in the Sunfire, 17 year-old Victoria Lynne Garvin and 18 year-old John Joseph Sherman Jr. were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. McGehrin was flown to Reading Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the trash truck, 61 year-old Gene Bennett, was not injured in the crash.
