The southbound lanes of Route 15 were closed Tuesday morning, following a tractor trailer crash.
Pennsylvania State Police reported that a semi truck slid off the highway and fell into an embankment at the side of the road. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation responded to the accident, which occurred a little more than a mile north of Mansfield.
The crash took place shortly before 8 am. On Tuesday. Police described the driver of the truck as being traumatized by the accident. The driver however escaped with only minor injuries. The driver’s identity has not been released.
Police officers continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
