Washington County Teen Killed in Car Crash

A former cheerleader and graduate of Canon-McMillan High School in Washington County was killed in a car accident on Sunday evening.

Nichole Chauvet was killed in a crash on Sunday in Altoona. She was a passenger in the backseat of a car that was broadsided by an oncoming car. Three other passengers were injured in the accident.

The Canon-McMillan school district is morning the death of Chauvet. Dr. Helen McCracken of the school district said “In both high school and college, Chauvet was involved in a variety of school activities and was a friend to many. And although no words of solace will do justice to this sadness, we are keeping the Chauvet family in our prayers.”
