Former inmate of Hawaii prison wins medical malpractic lawsuit

Posted on September 18th, 2009 No Comments

A former inmate in Hawaii was awarded $932,900 in a medical malpractice lawsuit. The lawsuit stemmed from a September 2003 incident, in which the inmate developed an abscess on his scrotum and received improper medical treatment.

The inadequate treatment led to the inmate getting his scrotum amputated. The lawyers for the inmate argued that the inmate could have been treated if he had received earlier treatment or been taken to a nearby hospital.

Receiving inadequate medical treatment can lead to further medical complications. If you or someone you know has received inadequate medical treatment, contact the Pennsylvania medical malpractice lawyers of Lowenthal & Abrams.
