Seat Belts and Deadly Crashes

Posted on August 20th, 2009 No Comments

Earlier this week, three Bedford County teens were involved in a deadly crash. The teens were not wearing their seat belts. Now, police are trying to remind motorists to buckle up for reasons beyond just the “Click It or Ticket” program.

Unfortunately, many people are still not wearing seat belts. Over the last five years, there have been over 1,500 teen deaths in traffic accidents. Police say that many of those teens were not wearing their seat belts in the crashes.
