Late Friday morning, a crash occurred in suburban Philadelphia when a car struck two pedestrians outside a hospital. Around 11:15am, two women were walking out of Delaware County Memorial Hospital when they were struck by a woman who was checking her iPod.
The driver lost control while traveling along Lansdowne Ave, crossed two laned of traffic, hopped the curb onto the sidewalk, struck the women and got stuck between a tree and a brick wall. One woman was killed instantly and the other was in extremely critical condition. The driver sustained minor injuries.
