Fatal Crash Involved Cell Phone

Posted on June 17th, 2009 No Comments

On April 14, an 18 year old woman was speeding in East Brandywine Township when she caused a crash. Around 4:30pm, the woman lost control and slid into the path of an oncoming school bus. The woman was using a cell phone at the time.

The crash killed the 17 year old pregnant passenger in the car as well as her nearly full term baby. The bus was empty except for the driver who was treated for minor injuries. After the crash, police found a bag of marijuana in the car along with messages on the phone that indicated she was delivering it to someone.
