Nissan trucks sold in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland have been recalled because of an airbag defect. The recall affects all 2005 to 2009 Nissan Xterras, Pathfinders, and Frontiers.
According to Nissan, the sensor that sets off the airbag can be affected by snow and road salt. Because of this, the airbags may not deploy in a crash. No crashes involving this defect have been reported yet.
When a vehicle is not working the way it should, the danger in a crash is far worse. If you or someone you know has been injured in an accident involving a faulty airbags, contact the Pennsylvania personal injury attorneys of Lowenthal & Abrams at 215-329-3511.
